Frederick Tully Lott (fl.1849-1879):
Jersey born painter of landscapes, coastal scenes and still life, Frederick Tully Lott lived at
33 Belmont Road, St Helier during the early 1850's and moved to London in 1855. He is
recorded as living in St John's Wood in 1874. He painted in Jersey, England, Wales, France,
Belgium and Germany and from 1852 - 1879 exhibited regularly at the Royal Society of
British Artists and the British Institute of Painters in Watercolours. His English subjects are
predominantly of Sussex and the Lake District. His style ranges from a fine, almost pointillist,
manner reminiscent of Birket Foster to a more impressionist, manner.
