This painting came from a small collection of the artist's work found in a vicarage in Somerset and was believed to have been there for many years.
Mary Mostyn Clarke (late 19th century):
Mary Mostyn Clarke was a little known Liverpool painter who was related to, and possibly the sister of, the artist Tom Mostyn (1864-1930). She originally painted under the name of Mostyn but later added her married name.
