Founded by Jonathan Voak in 1997, Atelier Limited deals mainly in 17th - early 20th century oil paintings, watercolours, drawings and etchings and offers a museum standard conservation service. The Company operates from its office in Grouville, Jersey.
Atelier harnesses the expertise of its Director and Consultants who have previously occupied senior positions in London’s national museums. The Director of Atelier, Jonathan Voak, was a curator with the Victoria and Albert Museum and Head of Apsley House, the Wellington Museum, on Hyde Park Corner in London.
We advise clients on the acquisition and disposal of high value works of art and have been responsible for making some notable acquisitions for both private and public collections.
Atelier is a member of BADA (the British Antique Dealers' Association) and of CINOA (the International Art and Antique Dealers Association). The company holds regular exhibitions in Jersey.
Full colour illustrated catalogues are issued up to three times per year and specialise in the Channel Islands, early views of the London Thames with a special emphasis on the London Docklands, and marine paintings in general. A strong marine theme is usually balanced by a number of landscape, figurative and still life paintings.
